Finding God in Science (from the LDS Perspective)

Of course I believe in a Higher Power! I find the Intelligent Designer in science all the time! I have also felt the Holy Ghost testify to me many times that Elohim is whom He said He is. And Jehovah, the Great I AM, is whom He said He is. The Bible is an ingenious computer code in the original Heberew, as well as a statistically-impossible numerical puzzle that is quite fascinating.
God has answered my prayers many, many times. And I think I mentioned this before, but He picked up my car with me in it and gently set it back down on the grassy median, three lanes over, still going the same direction. Physically impossible.
Is there a God? The answer to that is a resounding YES!
Is Jesus the Messiah? The answer to that is a resounding YES! Just watch, The Case for Christ, by Lee Patrick Stroble, if you want proof, but take it from the Holy Ghost. He is.
Is Joseph Smith, Jr., the prophet of the Restoration? Another resounding YES! Was he perfect? Of course not. But who is? I have come to understand that the Atonement was not complete until the gospel was restored on the earth, along with the priesthood authority for the saving ordinances. Until people knew the truth about the Atonement and truly understood it, and had priesthood authority for baptism and all the other ordinances, the Atonement had no effect after the falling away of the Dark Ages. A restitution of all things was key to the completion of the Lord’s work. Just look at this -
In the Law of Moses (everything symbolic of the coming Christ), the yearly Atonement ritual as in Exodus 29:38-39, reads:
“Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually.
The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:”
Two lambs for the Atonement? Think about it. Jesus came, as it is written, in the meridian of time. The middle. The Jews started a day’s time from sundown to sundown, or from 6:00 p.m. to the next 6:00 p.m. So halfway through the day is 6:00 a.m. That is the meridian, or the lamb in the morning, which is Jesus Christ’s death. The lamb at even (evening) is getting close to the end of the day (or the end of the world before Christ returns), which is from the Restoration (1830) through this the Last Dispensation to the Second Coming of Christ. So who is that second lamb at even? Joseph Smith, Jr., who was martyred at Carthage Jail, Illinois in 1844. He had to seal the Restoration with his blood. He fulfills the symbolic ritual of the Law of Moses. The prophets knew back then what the future held. Now people can have the truth and the authority to make the Atonement of Christ affective in their lives. Awesome!

INTRODUCTION
I really like what the Protestants say. We, as Latter-day Saints, should feel reverence and respect for God more than anybody!
Our Father is an Awesome Father!
Several engineering students were gathered together discussing who must have designed the human body.
One said, “It had to have been a civil engineer. Look at the perfect logistical layout of the body.”
Another said, “It must have been a mathematician. Look at the symmetry.”
A third said, “No, it was an electrical engineer. The nervous system has many thousands of electrical connections.”
A fourth said, “No, it was a mechanical engineer. Just look at all the joints.”
The last one said, “No, actually it had to have been a chemical engineer. The body has 12 million simultaneous chemical reactions every second.”
God is the greatest chemist, physicist, mathematician, artist, composer, designer, author, botanist, biologist, musician, programmer, puzzle maker, philosopher, psychologist, physiologist, doctor, anatomist, humorist, perfect, the best of everything, ever – and humble too! (Did you know humility is an attribute of God?)
1. KNOWING THE CHARACTER OF GOD
Lessons from Laman and Lemuel (Neal A. Maxwell, Ensign Nov 1999):
“Exhortations given to Laman and Lemuel “were hard to be understood, save a man should inquire of the Lord; and they being hard in their hearts, therefore they did not look unto the Lord as they ought” (1 Ne. 15:3).
This failure to believe in a revealing God was especially basic. Some moderns who wish to distance themselves from God try placing His pavilion firmly in the past. By believing in such a disabled God, people can do pretty much as they please. It is then not many steps further to saying there is no God, therefore no law and no sin! (see 2 Ne. 2:13; see also Alma 30:28). (Like evolution).
In short, Laman and Lemuel’s own lack of character kept them from understanding the perfect character of God! No wonder the Prophet Joseph Smith said, “If men do not comprehend the character of God, they do not comprehend themselves” (Teachings, 343).”
INTELLIGENCE AND LEARNING
D&C 130:20, There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated—
21 And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated.
Heavenly Father obeys eternal laws, too. That’s why the elements trust and obey him. He is who he says he is, and he does what he says He’ll do.
Why do we obey? To gain knowledge. When we obey what has been given, he gives us more, line upon line, until we know what he knows and become like him.
D&C 130:
18 Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection.
19 And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come. (Secular and spiritual intelligence).
Abraham 3:19, And the Lord said unto me: These two facts do exist, that there are two spirits, one being more intelligent than the other; there shall be another more intelligent than they; I am the Lord thy God, I am more intelligent than they all.
D&C 88 (and D&C 109:7), 118 And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.
GOD’S IMAGE
Moses 1:39, For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.
Lorenzo Snow, summarized this teaching clearly when he said, “As man now is, God once was; As God now is, man may be.”
D&C 130:1, When the Savior shall appear we shall see him as he is. We shall see that he is a man like ourselves.
2 And that same sociality which exists among us here will exist among us there, only it will be coupled with eternal glory, which glory we do not now enjoy.
Moses 1:11, But now mine own eyes have beheld God; but not my natural, but my spiritual eyes, for my natural eyes could not have beheld; for I should have withered and died in his presence; but his glory was upon me; and I beheld his face, for I was transfigured before him. (Note: transfiguration is not resurrection).
Moses 1:31, And behold, the glory of the Lord was upon Moses, so that Moses stood in the presence of God, and talked with him face to face. And the Lord God said unto Moses: For mine own purpose have I made these things. Here is wisdom and it remaineth in me.
D&C 130:22, The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.
23 A man may receive the Holy Ghost, and it may descend upon him and not tarry with him.

He asks his disciples who men say that he, the Son of Man, is. (See Matt. 16:13.) The very question is itself a witness of his Godhood, for he knows and they know that his Father’s name is Man of Holiness and that the name of his Only Begotten is the Son of Man of Holiness.
Moses 7:35
35 Behold, I am God; Man of Holiness is my name; Man of Counsel is my name; and Endless and Eternal is my name, also.

FAITH PRECEDES THE MIRACLE
Have faith in God more than science. Science is just man trying to figure out how God did it, and will catch up later.
Faith precedes the miracle. God’s proof from science is usually hindsight and shows up years later. Creation of planets, metal plates with engravings, cancer from tobacco, were all foretold ahead of scientific discovery. At first, the scholars of the day said the prophecies weren’t true. The saints of the time have to trust in faith. Later science catches up! So when science comes up with “truths” contrary to the laws of God, just have faith that some day science will prove our prophets right!
Joseph Smith revealed that worlds pass away and are born all the time, long before large telescopes were invented. Science caught up much later!
JS gave the Word of Wisdom long before science caught up about the detriments of tobacco, alcohol, and hot drinks.
Ether 12
6 And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.
Coincidences are signs and little miracles, God’s hand in all things.
D&C 59:21, And in nothing doth man offend God, or against none is his wrath kindled, save those who confess not his hand in all things, and obey not his commandments.
Moses1:32, And by the word of my power, have I created them, which is mine Only Begotten Son, who is full of grace and truth.
33 And worlds without number have I created; and I also created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten.
35 But only an account of this earth, and the inhabitants thereof, give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away by the word of my power. And there are many that now stand, and innumerable are they unto man; but all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine and I know them.
38 And as one earth shall pass away, and the heavens thereof even so shall another come; and there is no end to my works, neither to my words.
(Note: by the word of his mouth – priesthood power – the elements obey).
D&C 76:22, And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!
23 For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father—
24 That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God.
GOD’S GLORY
Revelation 21
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
1 John 1
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
John 8
12 ¶ Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
God is light, figuratively and literally. The Son lit the sun. Glory is energy greater than a nuclear bomb; greater than our solar sun.
D&C 88:4, This Comforter is the promise which I give unto you of eternal life, even the glory of the celestial kingdom;
5 Which glory is that of the church of the Firstborn, even of God, the holiest of all, through Jesus Christ his Son—
6 He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth;
7 Which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ. As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made.
8 As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made;
9 As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made;
10 And the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth upon which you stand.
11 And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings;

(Note: sinners hate light!)
D&C 110
1 The veil was taken from our minds, and the eyes of our understanding were opened.
2 We saw the Lord standing upon the breastwork of the pulpit, before us; and under his feet was a paved work of pure gold, in color like amber.
3 His eyes were as a flame of fire; the hair of his head was white like the pure snow; his countenance shone above the brightness of the sun; and his voice was as the sound of the rushing of great waters, even the voice of Jehovah, saying:
4 I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father.
5 Behold, your sins are forgiven you; you are clean before me; therefore, lift up your heads and rejoice.
(Note: irony – hell, or outer darkness, is really a very cold place with no glory. The lake of fire and brimstone is in the guilt of the heart).
GOD’S GLORY AND REVELATION
Again, Neal A. Maxwell (Ensign, Nov 1999):
Like Laman and Lemuel, many today would consign God only to the past; He thereby ceases to be the constant God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow (see 2 Ne. 27:23). Actually, God has the past, present, and future ever before Him, constituting an “eternal ‘now’ ” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, sel. Joseph Fielding Smith [1976], 220; see also D&C 130:7).
D&C 130:6, The angels do not reside on a planet like this earth;
7 But they reside in the presence of God, on a globe like a sea of glass and fire, where all things for their glory are manifest, past, present, and future, and are continually before the Lord.
8 The place where God resides is a great Urim and Thummim.
9 This earth, in its sanctified and immortal state, will be made like unto crystal and will be a Urim and Thummim to the inhabitants who dwell thereon, whereby all things pertaining to an inferior kingdom, or all kingdoms of a lower order, will be manifest to those who dwell on it; and this earth will be Christ’s.
The elements shall melt together with fervent heat! The heat that will turn earth’s sand into a sea of glass, melt flesh off the bones, and burn the wicked to stubble will not come from a nuclear bomb. It will come from the actual glory, light and energy coming from the Savior as he nears the earth for the Second Coming. The righteous will be transfigured to withstand his glory and be caught up to meet him!
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
2. ALL CREATION (AND SCIENCE) TESTIFIES THERE IS A GOD
Alma 30:43, And now Korihor said unto Alma: If thou wilt show me a sign, that I may be convinced that there is a God, yea, show unto me that he hath power, and then will I be convinced of the truth of thy words.
44 But Alma said unto him: Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.

What about science and evolution? Variation in species is not orthodox evolution. Variations show intelligent design to match each animal’s climate.

Evolution is a religion. Followers, like my brother, have faith that “someday the missing gaps will be found.”
Atheism is a religion. So is evolution. You have to have faith that there is no God. You have to have faith in the fairly tales of evolution. There is no proof.
Problems with orthodox evolution:
-All genetic mutations are recessive, not the dominant trait, and require both parents to have them to pass the trait to offspring.
-Most genetic mutations are lethal to the organism, like cystic fibrosis, which kills the offspring. Definitely not survival of the fittest.
-All genetic mutations are slow and random. Cellular DNA has self-healing mechanisms to heal most mutations.
Gene transcription shows intelligent design. It has a very convoluted system of checks and decoding before starting. And genes are very self-healing against mutations. RNA Transcription is divided into 5 stages: pre-initiation, initiation, promoter clearance, elongation and termination. Each requires different proteins, which needed to be in place simultaneously, not sequentially like evolution.
For a cell to divide, it must first replicate its DNA. This process is initiated at particular points within the DNA, known as “origins”, which are targeted by proteins that separate the two strands and initiate DNA synthesis. Origins contain DNA sequences recognized by replication initiator proteins. These initiator proteins recruit other proteins to separate the two DNA strands at the origin, and initiate replication forks. Again, each requires different proteins, which needed to be in place simultaneously, not sequentially like evolution. Otherwise, there would be no cell replication nor growth nor offspring.
Many scientists believe in a Supreme Being and Intelligent Design. Einstein did. There is the Creation Research Institute of PhD physicists who scientifically prove creationism. To God, all things are spiritual, even temporal knowledge. Science is studying how God did it.
Stanford University: Andrei Linde’s theory of chaotic expansion gives scientific muscle to the notion of a universe created by an intelligent being.

Law of Entropy. Organization requires an input of energy!
Entropy increase has often been defined as a change to a more disordered state over time. Entropy is a measure of the unavailability of a system’s energy to do work. Spontaneous changes occur with an increase in entropy. In other words, without an input of energy or effort, everything digresses or erodes.
Think of your house if no one puts some work into it. It gets disorganized in a hurry! This is why evolution can’t work. Left to its own, everything gets less organized, not more.
Physicists believe in multiple dimensions, like Flatland, by Edwin Abbott. It’s not a hard leap to believe other beings (like God) could be in higher dimensions than us.
Jewish Biblical Chiasma – all divisible by 7. God is the greatest mathematician and puzzle maker!
Dr. Ivan Panin was a Russian nihilist professor at Harvard, who turned Christian in 1890 because of the Bible numerics he found in the original Greek and Hebrew texts. In these texts, wherever the letters also symbolize numbers, their words added up to numbers that were divisible by 7. It converted Dr. Panin to Christianity. It is a statistical impossibility that has never been disproven. He wrote his research findings in his book, Bible Numerics. Mr. Karl Sabiers described Dr. Panin’s work in his book, “Mathematics Prove Holy Scriptures.” It was originally published in 1941, while Mr. Panin was still alive.
The Bible Code by Michael Drosnin – God is the greatest computer programmer! This book reports on the computer program written by Jerusalem scholars that shows how the Hebrew text of the Bible (Torah) is itself a complex, interactive puzzle full of hidden revelations for our moderns times. No one has been able to disprove it.
The complex code would have had to be designed in the Hebrew biblical text thousands of years before computers were invented. God put it in place long before man had the capability to find it. It is God’s way of telling scientists today that he is still smarter than them, and that he exists.
Dr. Edwin Sherman, a statistician, recently tried to disprove the Bible Code, so he wrote his own computer program to look at the Hebrew text. Instead, his research turned him into a believer.
So what do atheists and evolutionists do with bible numerics and the bible code? They ignore them. They attack the character of the authors. They sweep them under the rug. They don’t tell the younger generations. But they can’t disprove it.
Physics Law: Matter can be neither created nor destroyed.
According to Einstein’s equation below, matter includes mass, energy, and light. E = mcc, or energy equals mass time the speed of light (squared). Also, m = E / cc, or mass equals energy divided by light. So the whole physical world (mass of matter) is created from the light of God.
D&C 93:29, Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.
Abraham 3:18 … yet these two spirits… have no beginning; they existed before, they shall have no end, they shall exist after, for they are… eternal.
Einstein’s Theory of Relativity – the speed of light is the only constant. This makes sense because, as we learned above, God is light.
This theory of the structure of space-time continuum says:
-The speed of light is the same for all observers, regardless of their relative motion or of the motion of the source of the light.
-Time changes: Moving clocks are measured to tick more slowly than an observer’s “stationary” clock. Time slows down in motion.
-Length changes: Objects are measured to be shortened in the direction that they are moving with respect to the observer. Length gets shorter in motion.
-Mass-energy equivalence: E = mc2, energy and mass (with light) are equivalent and interchangeable. (Note: c is the speed of light. Mass is eternal).
Most of modern technological advances have occurred since 1830. After the long Dark Ages, the Spirit of the Lord returned to the earth with the restoration of the gospel. Remember, to God all things are spiritual, even technology.
(Note: irony – Charles Darwin’s, Origin of the Species, about evolution was first published in the 1830s. Satan always makes a counterfeit to the truth.)
Darwin’s Black Box, by Michael J. Behe, professor of microbiology at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, proves Intelligent Design through cellular:
Blood Clotting – many proteins needed simultaneously, not consecutively, or the organism would bleed to death.
Eye Sight – impossible to evolve on the cellular level. Read his book.
Cell Waste Vacuoles – many proteins and chemicals needed simultaneously or the organism would die of toxicity. No time for slow evolution.
Opponents of Behe attack and label the man, but have not satisfactorily disproven his proofs. Without real reasons, they dismiss his God-proving science.

The Bible declares, “The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made them both” (Proverbs 20:12)

AGENCY OF ELECTRONS
The elements and electrons trust and obey God. They choose to follow him.
D&C 121:46
46 The Holy Ghost shall be thy constant companion, and thy scepter an unchanging scepter of righteousness and truth; and thy dominion shall be an everlasting dominion, and without compulsory means it shall flow unto thee forever and ever.
Chaos Theory of electrons – basically, the electrons or elements don’t always go down the specified pathways. They veer off. They have agency.
In mathematics, chaos theory describes the behavior of certain dynamical systems – that is, systems whose state evolves with time. The behavior of chaotic systems appears to be random. This happens even though these systems are deterministic, meaning that their future dynamics are fully defined by their initial conditions, with no random elements involved. But the unchangeable systems change anyway. This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or simply chaos.
Chaotic behavior has been observed in the laboratory in a variety of systems including electrical circuits, lasers, oscillating chemical reactions, fluid dynamics, and mechanical and magneto-mechanical devices.
Observations of chaotic behavior in nature include the dynamics of satellites in the solar system, the time evolution of the magnetic field of celestial bodies, population growth in ecology, the dynamics of the action potentials in neurons, and molecular vibrations.
Everyday examples of chaotic systems include weather and climate. There is some controversy over the existence of chaotic dynamics in the plate tectonics and in economics. All of this shows the agency of electrons.
Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle – proved mathematically that there is free agency, after Einstein’s time. Einstein didn’t believe in uncertainty in physics, so he didn’t believe in agency. However, Heisenberg proved those incorrect.
In quantum physics, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle states that locating a particle in a small region of space makes the momentum of the particle uncertain; and conversely, that measuring the momentum of a particle precisely makes the position uncertain.
The reason is that this was a surprising prediction of quantum mechanics, which was not yet accepted. Many people would have considered it a flaw that there are no states of definite position and momentum. Heisenberg was trying to show that this was not a bug, but a feature—- a deep, surprising aspect of the universe.
Basically, if you know a body’s location, you can’t know its speed exactly. If you know a body’s speed, you can’t know its location exactly. Therefore, you can never calculate any body’s exact speed and location simultaneously. You cannot predetermine anything exactly. This scientifically allows theoretical wiggle room for agency.
The electrons of the electro-magnetic fields (light and energy) flow to God without compulsory means, on their own.
Helaman 12:7, O how great is the nothingness of the children of men; yea, even they are less than the dust of the earth.
8 For behold, the dust of the earth moveth hither and thither, to the dividing asunder, at the command of our great and everlasting God.
GOD’S GLORY
Let me tell you a little secret. Miracles are the chemistry-and-physics secrets that God knows. Celestial-level science.
Everything needed to make glucose (sugar), triglycerides (fats), and amino acids (proteins) is in the natural gases and dust of our air. Oxygen, nitrogen, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, phosphates, and sulfur dioxide make up the molecules that make life. All you need is to add a little energy, or glory, by the word of His mouth, in the right places to cause them to react together, and voila! You have enough fish to feed 5000 people. The basket of fish and bread was the template for the molecules to follow.
Matthew 14:15, And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

All the chemical building blocks of proteins (amino acids), sugar (glucose), and fats (triglycerides) are in the gases (and dust particles) of our air.
Sugar (glucose) molecules only have carbon, hydrogen and oxygen in their structures.
Protein (amino acid) molecules only have carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen, with occasional sulfur and phosphorus in their structures. R signifies a long chain of carbons (with hydrogens hanging off their sides).
Fat (fatty-acid triglyceride) molecules only have carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen in their structures, but in more quantities and different configurations than the others. They also have differing double-bonds between carbon and hydrogen.
The gases and molecules in our air are hydrogen (H2), water vapor (H2O), nitrogen (N2), nitrous oxides (NOX), carbon dioxide (CO2), Sulfates (SO4), oxygen (O2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and Phosphates ((PO4)3- and H(PO4)2- ions in dust).
In the atmosphere phosphorus is mainly small dust particles. Phosphorus and phosphorus-based compounds are usually solids at the typical ranges of temperature and pressure found on Earth. As rocks and sediments gradually wear down, phosphate is released.
Moses 4:25, By the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, until thou shalt return unto the ground—for thou shalt surely die—for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou wast, and unto dust shalt thou return.
By the Word of His Mouth, Jesus reversed the entropy, put his energy (glory) into the system, and organized the molecules around him to match the catalysts / templates (few fishes and loaves found from the boy) to make more fish and bread. And the elements obeyed!

Science is proving the Book of Mormon to be true, that Lamanites didn’t come from Mongolia. DNA of some, but not all, Indian tribes has some Asian ancestry. But Gavin Menzies’ new book, 1421 The Year China Discovered America, proves the Chinese showed up 71 years before Columbus and inter-married with the Lamanites of South America and up the Pacific side of North America. Other archeological evidence proves the Lamanites also have Semitic, or Israeli roots.
Science is also proving the Pearl of Great Price to be true. Scientific study shows that the DNA of all ethnic groups goes back to a woman in Africa. The Pearl of Great Price says:
Abraham 1:23, The land of Egypt being first discovered by a woman, who was the daughter of Ham, and the daughter of Egyptus, which in the Chaldean signifies Egypt, which signifies that which is forbidden; (mother and daughter both had the same name)
24 When this woman discovered the land it was under water, who afterward settled her sons in it; and thus, from Ham, sprang that race which preserved the curse in the land.
25 Now the first government of Egypt was established by Pharaoh, the eldest son of Egyptus, the daughter of Ham, and it was after the manner of the government of Ham, which was patriarchal.

How many people were on Noah’s ark? Only 8 people survived: Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their three wives. Wouldn’t all the grandchildren have shared genes with the woman who settled Egypt, which is on the northern edge of the African continent? And how many years before the recent scientific DNA discovery did Joseph Smith publish the Pearl of Great Price? About 200 years.
Evil mocks good. There are always counterfeits. Television and satellites give General Conference around the world. The internet and personal computers give much increased genealogy capabilities. God inspired us to create them to spread the gospel. Yet the adversary uses television, satellites, and the internet for evil purposes, too. He always makes counterfeits to God’s plan. Don’t follow the fool’s gold.
Is it any wonder that an Idaho farm boy invented television?
Television was invented by Farnsworth in Rigby, Idaho, in 1921, Enter Philo T. Farnsworth, whose idea for television came at age 14 while looking at long rows he had just plowed on his family farm. His thought was to scan an optical image row after row from left to right, which would be converted into an electron image. As a freshman at Rigby High School, he drew a sketch for a teacher. Years later, when he had to prove in court that he invented television, the sketch clinched his case.
On September 27, 1927, six years after his original idea, Farnsworth transmitted the first all-electric picture in a San Francisco apartment. Even though Farnsworth left Rigby while still in high school, the town has claimed him ever since.
God inspired the Church to be on the cutting edge of computer programming for genealogy:
Interestingly, the system of microcomputers—“cards” about 9 by 11 inches—that the temple recording system first used did not become ready until about the time the project began—“so when we needed it the industry met us at the crossroads,” says Brother Bliss in 1981.
Brother Bliss continues, “The requirements of a temple recording system are very demanding. Giving temple workers a reliable and easy system requires a very complex and sophisticated equipment and program behind the scenes. Many aspects of our system programming are among the best achievements in the computer industry.”
In fact, the LDS programmers were encouraged to write papers and publish their innovative programs. Many corporations have copied their methods.
In April 1984 the Church announced the new Personal Ancestral File and Family Search – the Prophet instructed them to write the programs before there were personal computers or internet. It was too much information for any database to hold. The programmers were doubtful it could be done. He said the Lord will provide. Then came PCs and the internet – just in time for their new genealogy programs.
Internet began for a good reason: between university libraries via phone lines. Stanford library by phone. It has increased our genealogy capability exponentially. All good comes from God.
Medical breakthroughs are carrying us closer to knowledge of the Millennium. Making artificial organs and limbs that respond to brain signals, increasing the average life span of man, reversing the aging process, gene therapy to heal genetic diseases, cloning, stem cell research, etc., are all bringing us closer to being ready for the knowledge the Savior will give us at the Second Coming about immortality.

Boyd K Packer: Testimony of Salt
I will tell you of an experience I had before I was a General Authority that affected me profoundly. I sat on a plane next to a professed atheist who pressed his disbelief in God so urgently that I bore my testimony to him. “You are wrong,” I said. “There is a God. I know He lives!”
He protested, “You don’t know. Nobody knows that! You can’t know it!” When I would not yield, the atheist, who was an attorney, asked perhaps the ultimate question on the subject of testimony. “All right,” he said in a sneering, condescending way, “you say you know. Tell me how you know.”
When I attempted to answer, even though I held advanced academic degrees, I was helpless to communicate.
When I used the words Spirit and witness, the atheist responded, “I don’t know what you are talking about.” The words prayer, discernment, and faith were equally meaningless to him. “You see,” he said, “you don’t really know. If you did, you would be able to tell me how you know.”
I felt, perhaps, that I had borne my testimony to him unwisely and was at a loss as to what to do. Then came the experience! Something came into my mind. And I mention here a statement of the Prophet Joseph Smith: “A person may profit by noticing the first intimation of the spirit of revelation; for instance, when you feel pure intelligence flowing into you, it may give you sudden strokes of ideas … and thus by learning the Spirit of God and understanding it, you may grow into the principle of revelation, until you become perfect in Christ Jesus.”1
Such an idea came into my mind, and I said to the atheist, “Let me ask if you know what salt tastes like.”
“Of course I do,” was his reply.
“Then,” I said, “assuming that I have never tasted salt, explain to me just what it tastes like.”
After some thought, he said, “Well, I, uh, it is not sweet and it is not sour.”
“You’ve told me what it isn’t, not what it is.”
After several attempts, of course, he could not do it. He could not convey, in words alone, so ordinary an experience as tasting salt. I bore testimony to him once again and said, “I know there is a God. You ridiculed that testimony and said that if I did know, I would be able to tell you exactly how I know. My friend, spiritually speaking, I have tasted salt. I am no more able to convey to you in words how this knowledge has come than you are to tell me what salt tastes like. But I say to you again, there is a God! He does live! And just because you don’t know, don’t try to tell me that I don’t know, for I do!”
As we parted, I heard him mutter, “I don’t need your religion for a crutch! I don’t need it.”
From that experience forward, I have never been embarrassed or ashamed that I could not explain in words alone everything I know spiritually. The Apostle Paul said it this way:
“We speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:13–14).
I can’t say it any better than that. No matter what science says, never let go of your faith. Just believe!
And remember, they that be with us (believers) are more than they that be with them (unbelievers):
2 Kings 6:15, And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

Helaman 5:50, And it came to pass that they did go forth, and did minister unto the people, declaring throughout all the regions round about all the things which they had heard and seen, insomuch that the more part of the Lamanites were convinced of them, because of the greatness of the evidences which they had received.

Whole Food Signatures - God’s Food Pharmacy!
A stupendous insight of civilizations past has now been confirmed by today’s investigative, nutritional sciences. They have shown that what was once called “The Doctrine of Signatures” was astoundingly correct. Referred to in the classical period of Rome as the “Law of Similarities” it is now called by scientists, “Teleological Nutritional Targeting”. It now contends that every whole food has a pattern that resembles a body organ or physiological function and that this pattern acts as a signal or sign as to the benefit the food provides the eater. For instance:
A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye…and YES science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart is red and has four chambers. All of the research shows tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food.
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows that grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds are on the nut just like the neo-cortex. We now know that walnuts help develop over 3 dozen neuro-transmitters for brain function.
Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Egg Plant, Avocadoes and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? …. it takes exactly 9 months to grow an Avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 phyto-lytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the motility of male sperm and increase the numbers of sperm as well to overcome male sterility.
Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.
Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries
Grapefruits, Oranges, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts. (And halve them the other direction, they look like vulvas.)
Onions look like body cells. Today’s research shows that onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes

Peanuts have a profound effect on the testicles and sexual libido. Peanuts were banned as a food for males by the church ofin during the middle ages. Most people don’t realize that arginine, the main component of Viagra, comes from peanuts.

There is much evidence for the design of the universe. The Universe has to refer outside of itself to prove its existence, therefore something or someone must be outside of the universe and able to prove its existence for it. Einstein himself accepted that there is “necessity for a beginning”. It is impossible to gain order from chaos as the Laws of Entropy prove. Mathematics and science both point to, if not prove, the existence of God and His power and majesty.
Introduction:
At some point in life, the majority of people ponder the existence of god. Many Atheists will discount proof of the existence of any higher being. However, if enough effort is put in, finding the proof for the existence of god isn’t hard. This paper has both scientific and mathematical proof of God’s existence.
Method
Pascal’s wager illustrates this by reasoning that if one chooses to believe in God and He exists, infinite reward can be gained; and if he doesn’t exist, there is nothing to lose. Likewise, if one chooses not to believe in God and he exists, infinite pain and suffering result; but if he does not exist, there is no loss. Pascal also claims that avoiding wagering “is not optional” failure to decide may automatically have the same results as the wagering against God. Believing in God is more logical in the sense that there is much to gain and nothing to lose.
Mathematically, there is proof of God’s existence. Kurt Godel revolutionized mathematics and the argument about God with theorems. His theorems are universally accepted by mathematicians. Mathematicians of Godel’s time were trying to write and prove a “Theory of Everything”, Godel single-handedly proved that such a theory cannot exist. Godel’s theorem, called the incompleteness theorem, says “Anything you can draw a circle around cannot explain itself without referring to something outside the circle – something you have to assume but cannot prove.”
An example would be: “you can draw a circle around a bicycle but the existence of that bicycle relies on a factory that is outside that circle. The bicycle cannot explain itself.” Likewise, the Universe cannot explain itself. The incompleteness theorem applies mathematically, logically, and to the universe. The Universe has to refer outside of itself to prove its existence, therefore something or someone must be outside of the universe and able to prove its existence for it. All closed systems depend on something outside of their system. True, one can always draw a bigger circle, but there’s always going to be something outside of that circle. This shows that there are always more things that are truer than are provable. Godel’s theorem proves that science can never fill its own gaps. To find answers, sometimes it is necessary to look outside of science. This shows that faith and science are allies, not enemies, and it also shows just how God plays in science and math.
Godel had an ontological theorem to try to prove the existence of God as well as the incompleteness theorem. It is a series of logical arguments. Each argument expands upon the one before to the point that God exists is made. It looks like this:
(1) If God exists, then he has necessary existence.
(2) Either God has necessary existence, or he doesn‘t.
(3) If God doesn‘t have necessary existence, then he necessarily doesn’t. Therefore:
(4) Either God has necessary existence, or he necessarily doesn’t.
(5) If God necessarily doesn’t have necessary existence, then God necessarily doesn’t exist. Therefore:
(6) Either God has necessary existence, or he necessarily doesn‘t exist.
(7) It is not the case that God necessarily doesn’t exist. Therefore:
(8) God has necessary existence.
(9) If God has necessary existence, then God exists. Therefore:
(10) God exists.
Two scientists decided to take Godel’s theorem and see if it actually worked. Christoph Benzmüller and Bruno Paleo were able to mathematically prove correct Godel’s theorem using an ordinary Mac book. Their formulas appear in the same order as the above arguments.

Each equation works out and can/has been proven. As a consequence, the equations prove the existence of God and His necessity.
Scientifically, there is proof of God. Most of the modern world is familiar with the equation E=mc2 or Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. This equation is the conversion of matter into energy. Dr. Hugh Ross says “The triumph of special relativity gave Einstein the boldness to extend his theory beyond velocity effects and on to the acceleration effects between observers. The results were the ten field equations of general relativity. Subtracting one set of these equations from another yielded the surprising result that everything in the universe is simultaneously expanding and decelerating. The only physical phenomenon which expands and decelerates at the same time is an explosion. But, if the universe is the aftermath of an explosion, then sometime in the past it must have had a beginning. There must have been a moment at which the explosion began. If it had a beginning, then there must be a Beginner.” He comes to the conclusion that if there was a “Big Bang” that started the universe, then it is the consequence of the intricate design and creation of a creator and not at all random. Einstein himself accepted that this shows the “necessity for a beginning”.
There is much evidence for the design of the universe. There are many parameters that the universe has followed that if certain aspects were made larger or smaller, the universe as it is could not be. If the ratio of electron to proton mass, for example, was to be made any larger no chemical bonding could occur. If the ratio was any smaller, no chemical bonding could occur. The ratio is perfect and at the molecular level, there isn’t any logical way to believe that happened by chance. Another example is the age of the universe, if it were any older, there would be no solar-type stars in a stable burning stage in the correct or “needed” part of the galaxy, for they would be too old to be in the correct stage. If it were any younger, the opposite would happen and the needed solar-type stars would be too young for the sustaining of life. There are multiple examples like the two above.
Alan Guth (a philosopher) deduced from the Borde-Vilenken Proof, which concerns the possibility of a beginning of a universe or multiverse based on five assumptions the universe meets, “In my own opinion, it looks like eternally inflating models necessarily have a beginning…As hard as physicists have worked to try to construct an alternative, so far all the models that we construct have a beginning; they are eternal into the future, but not into the past.” Robert J. Spitzer (a physicist) added to this saying “Given these problems, is the multiverse a more reasonable and responsible explanation of our universe’s anthropic coincidences? Many physicists believe that it is not,… because of the likelihood of a Creator. When the evidence for a beginning is combined with the exceedingly high improbability of the… anthropic coincidences, a super intellect seems to be the best explanation because it avoids all the problems of a hypothetical multiverse. Thus, it is both reasonable and responsible to believe on the basis of physics, that there is a very powerful and intelligent being that caused our universe to exist as a whole. While contemporary physics does not prove the fullness of God, it certainly points to him.” Modern physics certainly point to the existence of a god. So far, this is the only conclusion that has worked through the possible holes and connects many laws and theories. So it is equitable to conclude that a higher power is responsible for the creation of the universe and its inhabitants.
These things are too careful and precise to be left to chance. It is impossible to gain order from chaos. The Law of Entropy dictates that disorder (or entropy) either increases or stays the same over time. Entropy is a statute of disorder I.e. buildings break down over time, they don’t rebuild themselves. Ergo evolution can’t be true considering its contradictory nature to this law. Researcher Brig Klyce summed up the issue between the Law of Entropy and the Theory of Evolution: “Life is organization. From prokaryotic cells, eukaryotic cells, tissues and organs, to plants and animals, families, communities, ecosystems, and living planets, life is organization, at every scale. The evolution of life is the increase of biological organization, if it is anything. Clearly, if life originates and makes evolutionary progress without organizing input somehow supplied, then something has organized itself. Logical entropy in a closed system has decreased. This is the violation that people are getting at, when they say that life violates the second law of thermodynamics. This violation, the decrease of logical entropy in a closed system, must happen continually in the (D)arwinian account of evolutionary progress.” This shows there was a beginning of the universe and not one that could have happened by chance. From nothing only comes nothing. Chance tends to lead toward more disorder. Therefore, the orderly matter of the universe and the life it holds must have been directed or created by something higher and more intelligent.
While the second law of Thermodynamics (Law of Entropy) has been verified through scientific research and mathematical proof, the theory of Evolution still has many holes. Darwinists still discount this information since it does not conform to their beliefs.
